Blackberry Strawberry Banana Smoothie

A cold creamy strawberry blackberry banana smoothie made with fresh and frozen fruit, dairy free yogurt and sweetened with a date.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Blackberries
  • 1 cup Frozen strawberries chopped
  • 1 small Ripe banana chopped
  • cup Dairy free plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup Water

Optional

  • 1 Medjool date pitted

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into a blender and blend for 2 minutes or until completely smooth
    ½ cup Blackberries, 1 cup Frozen strawberries, 1 small Ripe banana, ⅔ cup Dairy free plain yogurt, ¼ cup Water, 1 Medjool date
  • Pour into a cup and enjoy immediately or take with you on the go.

Notes

Medjool date can be left out if you find this smoothie is sweet enough without it. Only one is required, as they do add quite a bit of sweetness. 
A combination of fresh and frozen fruit will help keep this smoothie creamy and thick. I recommend making sure either the banana or berries are frozen. There’s no hard rule for this.
Any blender will work, however, a high powered blender  is the quickest and will yield a smoother result. If your blender doesn’t have a smoothie setting, just blend until all the contents are blended.
Feel free to adjust the quantities of the ingredients to suit your liking.
