Ingredients

Instructions

  • Steep the dates in a bowl with 1 cup of boiling water for 60 minutes.
1 cup Sayer dates, 4 cups Water
  • Transfer the steeped dates with their water to a high-speed blender. Add the salt, rose water, orange blossom water and 3 cups of cold water. Blend for 1 minute.
1 pinch Salt, ½ tsp Rose water, ½ tsp Orange blossom water
  • Let the juice stand for 15 minutes before straining through a fine sieve or cloth. Discard the pulp.
Transfer to a jug, cover and refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice.

Notes

Only have one floral water on hand? Use just one instead of both or leave it out for a plainer date-and-salt version or try using ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Dates other than Sayer can change the sweetness. Taste and adjust the amount as needed.
Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
