Loubieh Bi Zeit

Ingredients

  • pounds Fresh green beans trimmed and cut into bite sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil sub avocado oil
  • 1 medium Onion diced small
  • 2 large cloves Garlic crushed
  • 1 medium-large Tomato diced small
  • 1 ¼ cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Paprika optional
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper cracked

Instructions

  • Over medium-high heat, heat the oil (zeit) in a large pot. Add the diced onion, and fry until slightly golden, approximately 5-7 minutes.
    3 tablespoons Olive oil, 1 medium Onion
  • Add beans (loubia), tomato and garlic. Stir through ensuring everything is coated in oil. Add salt, pepper and paprika (optional), add water. Stir everything through.
    2¼ pounds Fresh green beans, 2 large cloves Garlic, 1 medium-large Tomato, 1 ¼ cup Water, 1 teaspoon Salt, ¼ teaspoon Paprika, ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • Adjust the hob to low heat. Cover the pot with a lid and braise for 25-30 minutes. Stirring every five minutes. Serve cold or warm.
