Ingredients

  • ½ cup Maple syrup pure
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes or to taste
  • teaspoon Cayenne Pepper or to taste

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, red chili flakes, and cayenne pepper.
Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. This helps infuse the syrup with the spices.
½ cup Maple syrup, 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes, ⅛ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Strain out the chili flakes if you prefer a smoother syrup using a fine sieve or cheesecloth, or leave them in for extra texture and spice. Let it completely cool to room temperature before sealing and storing in the fridge.

Notes

This recipe will make ½ a cup.
