This quick and creamy homemade vegan fry sauce is perfect for dipping your French fries, hot chips, and vegetables. It's also great as a salad dressing.
Are you looking for a versatile vegan sauce to add to your collection? Here’s a creamy 1 minute homemade fry sauce that’s also gluten free.
Ingredients and Variations
Mayonnaise is the base of this vegan fry sauce, I prefer to use my homemade eggless mayo (recipe linked in the recipe card below), as it tastes a lot fresher than storebought, though you can use your favorite brand.
Ketchup - Opt for your favorite ketchup brand, preferably one with minimal ingredients and low sugar content. Using high-quality ketchup will enhance the flavor of this delicious vegan dipping sauce.
Add some heat by adding chili flakes or a dash of chili oil, I always recommend starting with a small amount and adjusting to taste.
Change the flavor profile by adding onion or garlic powder or even mustard powder.
In the recipe card below, you'll find the amounts needed to make this vegan sauce from scratch. All you need is a bowl, a whisk, and a few minutes of your time.
Serving Suggestions
Aside from being the greatest vegan dipping sauce for air fryer crinkle cut fries, there are so many ways to use this condiment, try dipping a polenta fritta, or an air fried corn rib (I love this combination!), onion rings, or even some sweet potato & zucchini fritters.
Or smear it on a burger like this beyond burger in the air fryer.

we originally made the eggless mayo and took your suggestion to turn it into fry sauce, which we ate with your corn ribs. Thanks again

In Belgium, we call this sauce "cocktail", it can be found in chip shops for example. It is a classic, delicious 🙂
