🥛Ingredients You’ll Need
Filtered water or mineral water is the liquid component of making this dairy free milk
Organic hemp seeds are derived from the plant cannibas sativa. This ingredient has many health benefits including a high quality protein.
It is nutty in flavor and very creamy. It can be purchased from any health food store, most major supermarkets or buy it online here (affiliate link).
Tip: the general ratio of water to seeds is 1:8
Optional ingredients for minor flavor changes
To sweeten it, try adding maple Syrup or whole pitted Medjool dates. Start with a small amount such as 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or 1 Medjool date if using this recipe as is.
Salt will enhance the sweetness, only a smidge is needed, I like using Himalayan salt (affiliate link).
Vanilla is great if you will be using your hemp milk in desserts or baking. However, avoid this ingredient if you will be cooking with this milk.
🥛How to Make Hemp Seed Milk
Step 1 - In a high speed blender add hemp seeds and water (and any optional ingredients) and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
Step 2 - Use an organic unbleached cheesecloth (affiliate link) / nut bag over a bowl to strain the milk to create a smooth texture. Pour into a storage container and store sealed in the fridge for up to five days.
Tip: Use the leftover pulp in a smoothie, try it in a blackberry strawberry banana smoothie.
This dairy free milk can be used as per any other milk.
Use hemp seed milk to make flavored milk such as strawberry milk or blueberry milk.
Otherwise add some organic powders like cacao for chocolate flavor or maca powder for a malt flavor. You can even heat up this milk to create a hot beverage.

- 4 cups Water filtered or mineral
- ½ cup Hemp seeds organic
