I'll cut to the chase. This plant-based smoothie is effortlessly simple to make, no complex sorcery involved, just a delightful fusion of ingredients whizzed up in a blender.

The outcome? A lush, creamy smoothie with a yogurt base. Let's delve into the ingredients and then dive into the recipe.

The complete list of ingredients with measurements, can be found in the full recipe card below.

I prefer using frozen ripe banana chunks in most of my homemade smoothies, like this one featuring green apples. Pairing them with fresh peaches, of any flesh color, results in a thicker texture.

Opting for ripe fruits minimizes the need for added sweeteners, I lean towards using a single pitted Medjool date, but you can try it without and see if you'd like to add this in.

Any unsweetened plain dairy-free yogurt will suffice, I steer clear of flavored yogurt to maintain the purity of banana and peaches in this smoothie.

I like incorporating pepitas, which impart a gently nutty undertone that beautifully complements the entire smoothie. Should you prefer, these can be replaced with alternative seeds such as flax seeds and chia seeds.

Janelle's Tip

Feel free to adjust the ingredient quantities to cater to your personal taste preferences.

To extend the use of peaches, cut them up into pieces and keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months. I keep the skin on.

Having frozen fruit, especially in summer, is always so handy, saving lots of time, considering I regularly make smoothies during warmer weather, one of my favorites is this mango and strawberry with a base of bananas. Or try this one with blueberries or just plain peaches.

Notes

Fresh and frozen fruit can be used to help keep this smoothie creamy and thick. If using all fresh fruit, add a handful of ice cubes to help thicken.
A high powered blender  is the quickest and will yield a smoother result. If your blender doesn’t have a smoothie setting, just blend until all the contents are blended.
