I love it when it’s stone fruit season, and when it’s not, I love to make sure my freezer is stocked with stone fruits.

Peaches are so tasty and juicy, they are perfect to make smoothies out of them. This peach smoothie with yogurt can use any colored peaches (white or yellow flesh).

    😋Why you’ll love this recipe

    • Fresh and bursting with flavor
    • A great way to get more fruits into your diet, made using frozen and fresh fruits
    • Adaptable, you can add, minus or swap ingredients to suit your liking
    • Made in minutes, perfect as a grab-n-go breakfast.
    • Vegan, soy free, dairy free, gluten free, and corn free
    • No added refined sugar

    ✔️What You’ll Need

    🍌Ingredients Notes

Banana is best frozen in this recipe, however you can use a fresh ripe banana. One cup of chopped banana is needed.

Peaches can be any colored flesh. Can also be frozen or fresh. One cup of chopped peaches is needed.

Pepitas aka pumpkin seeds without the shell, are a good source of protein and omega 3 & 6's. These can be purchased from the health food section at your supermarket, in a health food store or online (affiliate link).

Plain dairy free yogurt you can add your preferred plain vegan yogurt. Half a cup is needed and makes this peach smoothie with yogurt the right consistency.

Medjool date must be pitted prior to adding into the blender. Only one is required, as they do add quite a bit of sweetness. You can leave out the date if you fine it sweet enough without it.

    🔪 Step by step guide

Step 1 - Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend for 2 minutes or until smooth.

Step 2 - Pour into a cup and enjoy immediately or take away with you.

    ⭐ Pro Tips

Fresh and frozen fruit can be used to help keep this smoothie creamy and thick. If using all fresh fruit, add a handful of ice cubes to help thicken.

A high powered blender (affiliate link) is the quickest and will yield a smoother result. If your blender doesn’t have a smoothie setting, just blend until all the contents are blended.

Feel free to adjust the quantities of the ingredients to suit your liking.

    🍑Variations

The following are suggestions, you can adjust/replace/omit any ingredient of this peach banana smoothie.

Leafy greens can be added by a small handful. Note - this will alter the color of this smoothie and maybe the taste.

You can use maple syrup rather than dates to sweeten this smoothie. Try adding a spoonful at a time until you like it.

Pepitas can be replaced with other seeds such as flax seed, chia seeds which are also a good source of protein and omega 3.

Sweet spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg or cloves can be added. Try adding a pinch and adjusting.

Swap the yogurt with hemp seed milk or any dairy free milk.

    ❓FAQ

No, yogurt is not a requirement of smoothies. Whilst yogurt does provide body to a smoothie, it can be replaced with milks, bananas, nut butters, fresh juices, coconut water or filtered water.
