A healthy strawberry mango banana peanut butter smoothie made in 5 minutes with plant milk and sweetened with a date.
I’m addicted to plant-based smoothies.
They’re so easy to digest and make the best on-the-go liquid meal.
What I especially love about this mango banana strawberry peanut butter smoothie is that it’s easy to prepare and keeps me full all morning, a great way to kick off the day.
Ingredients Highlight
Here are notes on some of the ingredients, the complete list with measurements, can be found in the full recipe card below.
The fruit (banana, mango, and strawberries) should be ripe and cut into pieces to help with blending. A combination of frozen and fresh fruit will help keep this smoothie thick. If you’re using all fresh ingredients, start by adding half the amount of almond milk and build up the consistency, otherwise, it may be too runny.
I like adding some 100% all-natural peanut butter, which is a nice source of protein.
Sometimes I sneak in a small handful of fresh baby spinach leaves to pack in more fiber. However, note that adding more spinach will change the color of the smoothie to a brownish hue.
Speaking of colors, this pink dragon fruit smoothie has the prettiest and enticing color.
Maple syrup (or any natural liquid sweetener) can be used instead of Medjool dates to sweeten this smoothie. I find one date to suffice, which is especially true when the fruits are ripe.
Janelle's Tips
- Do not overpack the ingredients into the blender, as this can cause blending issues.
- Feel free to adjust the quantities of the ingredients to suit your liking.
- If you’re into protein or supplement powders, add a scoop of your preferred flavor. Or turn it into a bowl like this strawberry banana smoothie bowl.
- Other combinations you might enjoy are peach and banana or mango and pineapple.

Yum. I don’t normally like green leaves, thought I would try it hidden in a smoothie. I couldn’t taste it really, I’ll make it again as I’m trying to get more fibre into my diet
